Present for a Pensioner 2020

A Present for a Pensioner provides luxury gifts to those who wouldn't normally receive a present at Christmas, funded by local, generous businesses

A Present for a Pensioner - 2020:

Overview:

We are absolutely delighted to present the 2020 edition of a Present for a Pensioner! This year, our scheme has been embraced like never before in our wonderful community, with local businesses, charities and individuals getting progressively involved. We were humbled to have received recognition from external individuals, such as the Deputy Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care. With local film crews, news coverage, editorials and our community supporting our annual scheme, we were able to deliver over 24 hampers to people who wouldn't normally receive a gift at Christmas or who may suffer from loneliness.

What does the event include?

A Present for a Pensioner provides luxury hampers for those who wouldn't normally receive a gift at Christmas. We approach local businesses who would like to donate a small sum and then create a beautiful present for those who are less fortunate in our community.

How can I get involved?

There are many ways to get involved! You can either volunteer to help create hampers, donate a small sum to go toward the creation of hampers, help spread awareness or help distribute! Any and all support offered, whether that be large or small, is extremely well-received. All contributions will receive an honourable mention within the hampers, across social media and within the Present for a Pensioner video. Please get in touch by filling out our contact us form, or alternatively ringing 01548521789!

External Recognition:

Deborah Ivanova. Deputy Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care in the South said:

“The Christmas season can be a time of loneliness for vulnerable people. Reaching out to them with the annual “present for a pensioner” project is something to applaud. It is lovely to see such a wonderful project, letting those people trying to live an independent life know that they are not alone and there is a wider community out there ready to support and befriend them. This is something to commend.”
