Personal care supports you in any daily tasks that you may need support with, such as dressing, bathing, showering, toileting, applying creams and lotions as well as self-esteem boosting activities, like trimming your nails or even styling your hair.
Whilst working to your regular, comfortable routines and ensuring that your support is directly tailored to how you want it, our professional, expertly trained carer offers discreet, dignified and outstanding personal care in a way that’s comfortable to you.
We are strong believers of carer continuity, especially when it comes to personal care. Our care coordinators provide you with a familiar face, one that you can come to know and trust.
Personal care refers to the support of personal and private hygiene. We provide personal care for all individuals of all ages.
Personal care can include, but is not limited to:
Your care plan is tailored and personalised to the way you want your care delivered, outlining your likes and dislikes, the specific products you like to use and what (and who) you feel most comfortable with delivering your care. Particular tasks that are important to you are always specifically outlined to your professional, expert carer.
Each of our professional, hand-picked carers are highly trained to provide outstanding personal care in a way that is discreet and respectful. Our carers all undertake specific and extensive training to learn how to keep personal care dignified, supporting your independence in every way.
Whilst you may appreciate assistance with some aspects of personal care, our carers all understand if you want to undertake tasks yourself. Our carers will always encourage you to do so to help support you, assisting only if you request it.
Like all avenues with CareYourWay, your support with personal care is entirely tailored and personalised to how you’d like your care to be delivered, working around your personal routines. If you’d like to have a relaxing bath before going to bed, your carer will happily follow your schedule, allowing you to lead the life you want within the comfort of your own home.
If you require a bit of assistance during the week, you have the choice of having a visiting carer, often known as domiciliary or home care – someone who visits at set times of the day, or even overnight, to provide you reassurance and peace of mind that you’ve always got a friendly and trusted face on hand to help you wherever possible.
If you require ongoing support and want the constant reassurance of having a friendly face present day or night, it may be best to have a live-in carer, providing you 24 hour care. Live-in care covers a wide variety of services – you can access them here!
Your personal care is centred around your wants and wishes, placing you in the centre of all decision making. Our compassionate and friendly teams are all expertly trained to deliver dignified and discreet personal care that follows your schedule and routine, supporting your independence where you’re happiest.
