Following an inspiring day at the North West Care Roadshow earlier this year, CareYourWay is proud to be joining the Care Roadshow Wales this November — continuing a conversation that lies at the heart of everything we do: what truly matters most in care.
At the upcoming event, CareYourWay CEO, Sarah Sabater, will once again chair a panel discussion on person-centred care, joined by her son and Chief Operations Officer, Jonathan Sabater. Alongside other sector leaders from Allegra Care and Hallmark Care Homes, they will explore how meaningful, person-led support can be delivered every day — particularly for those living with dementia.
For Sarah and Jonathan, person-centred care is more than a professional focus — it’s a deeply personal journey after the Sabater family supported Sarah’s mother, and Jonathan’s grandmother, who lived with dementia for nine years at home.
Those years of love, challenge, and connection helped to shape the values that define CareYourWay today. Through that experience, Sarah saw how true quality care comes from understanding the person behind the diagnosis — their memories, routines, and the little details that bring comfort and joy.
These experiences became the foundation of CareYourWay’s ethos: that care should always begin with compassion, dignity, and respect. Every person’s story is unique, and so is the care they receive. From a favourite song to how someone takes their tea, it’s the small, personal touches that build trust and help people feel at home.
Over the past 20 years, this approach has guided our teams across the country, shaping our award-winning home care services and strengthening our mission to support people in living well, safely, and independently at home.
Through her continued leadership and involvement in events like the Care Roadshows, Sarah Sabater remains a passionate advocate for raising standards in care. Her work — supported by Jonathan and the wider CareYourWay team — champions the belief that person-centred care should be the foundation of every care organisation, not just an aspiration.
By sharing their family’s story, Sarah and Jonathan aim to inspire others across the sector to see care differently: as a relationship built on understanding, empathy, and human connection.
The Care Roadshow Wales will bring together professionals, families, and care providers from across the country, all united by a shared purpose — improving lives through compassion and connection.
Sarah, Jonathan, and the CareYourWay team are excited to join the Roadshow community once again, meeting passionate individuals and sharing ideas that continue to shape the future of care.
We look forward to sharing more from this special day soon, as we continue our mission to transform lives through outstanding care, one person and one family at a time.
