Our Chester & Stockport Teams Tackle 5k Inflatable Course Supporting Present for a Pensioner

On Saturday 3rd August, the CareYourWay Chester & CareYourWay Stockport teams, participated in an exciting yet challenging inflatable 5k run to support our 'Present for a Pensioner' scheme. The team, which included Pauline, Macy, Ellie, Jess, Becky, and Mike, completed the course in 1 hour and 15 minutes, despite the hot weather!

The course, filled with inflatable obstacles, offered a mix of fun and challenge. The team’s determination shone through as they navigated the obstacles under the blazing sun, all in the name of combatting loneliness at Christmas-time. “We’re so proud of everyone for their effort,” shared Jonathan at CareYourWay's Head Office. “The heat made it tough, but everyone was determined to make it through for such a great cause.”

So far, the team has raised an impressive £500, with hopes of more donations to come. The funds will be used to create luxurious hampers for those who may be lonely during Christmas. These hampers, packed with festive joy and spirit, will provide a special treat for recipients to enjoy throughout the holiday season. The team’s dedication, along with the community’s generosity, has been truly heartwarming to see.
