What is The Queen's Platinum Jubilee?

In 2022,  The Queen of England will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6th February 1952 when Her Majesty was 25 years old.

How is CareYourWay celebrating with clients?

To celebrate the Queen’s 70th Platinum Jubilee, CareYourWay is offering clients’ a fish and chip lunch or supper, out or at home, at any time over the celebratory weekend. Menus from their favourite local shops have been provided, orders taken, and preferences for their chosen carer noted! CareYourWay will be paying for their carers’ fish and chips, delivering them to clients' homes, and spending time celebrating this magical weekend with clients. To collaborate this fantastic celebration with combatting loneliness and isolation, we have even set up a more permanent scheme with clients, some opting for meals out on a more permanent basis!

It has been simply humbling to witness the levels of inclusion that this event is bringing to our clients. We have run multiple campaigns to combat isolation and loneliness, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, but we have seen this event stand out amongst the rest. Out of the many we run, the Big Lunch has been so welcomed, with many clients excited to have their favourite carer accompanying them where they’re happiest and most comfortable.

Memory Collage:

Alongside the Big Lunch, CareYourWay wanted their clients to celebrate their own amazing history. The simple thought of: “Everyone has a story” is often lost in society. When speaking with our wide client base, their stories inspire us, many of them sharing their favourite memories with our carers. To celebrate this, we have sent all our clients’ envelopes to share moments within their life that bring back the best of times, sharing their best achievements and moments! 

Our teams will be creating a “Memory Collage” to commemorate the last 70 years of their amazing past, celebrating the brilliant histories of so many individuals within our care community.
