CareYourWay Celebrates International Women's Day with West Country Women!

On Friday 7th March 2025, CareYourWay’s team joined the West Country Women International Women’s Day celebration at the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth, hosted by the West Country Women organisation. The event brought together leaders from a range of sectors to celebrate the achievements of women, with the theme of this year’s celebration focused on Accelerating Action.

A Day of Inspiration and Connection

The day was filled with inspiring speeches, workshops, and plenty of opportunities for networking. The event offered attendees a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come in the journey towards gender equality, while also recognising the work still to be done. It was a day to celebrate women’s contributions across all areas of life. For many in the room, it was a powerful reminder to take time to thank the incredible women in our networks and communities, particularly those working tirelessly, and for CareYourWay, this as a reflection of thanks for all their home care teams across the nation, as well as the wider community of health care professionals - all of whom passionatley support those in need with compassion and dedication. 

Sarah Sabater: West Country Women Ambassador

As an ambassador for the West Country Women organisation, Sarah Sabater, CEO and Founder of CareYourWay, was honoured to be part of this year’s celebrations. She  spent the day connecting with attendees, engaging in conversations about the importance of empowering women, and reflecting on the progress being made to help give our younger generations a stronger platform to aspire to achieve their hopes and dreams. Her participation was a meaningful part of the celebration, with Sarah embodying the values of leadership and advocacy that are key to both CareYourWay and the West Country Women organisation.

This theme of women’s leadership continued with the exciting announcement of the opening of the West Country Women Awards nominations, which was celebrated with confetti cannons. It was a moment that showcased the importance of recognising and celebrating the incredible women who make a difference in our communities, particularly those in health and social care.

Looking Ahead

The West Country Women International Women’s Day celebration, with its theme of Accelerating Action, served as a powerful reminder of the importance of continuing to push for equality across all fields. CareYourWay is proud to be part of this movement, working alongside like-minded organisations to ensure that all voices are heard, valued, and celebrated.

As the event concluded, attendees left feeling inspired and motivated to continue the critical work of accelerating gender equality. CareYourWay is honoured to play its part in recognising the contributions of all individuals throughout the wider community and supporting this important mission.
