Care is within the heart of our family. Care Your Way was founded on the lack of quality, personalised care for people within our community. Myself and my husband, Manuel, had previously owned an employment agency, but soon found ourselves watching a hole within the care industry that had not been filled. Care that was tailored to meet a client’s wants and needs never existed, which is why, some fifteen years ago, we started Care Your Way.
Our children have grown up surrounding care - from having responsibility and involvement in the business from a young age, to caring for my mother for nine years, who had advanced dementia, they always had some sort of involvement, whether that be cleaning the offices or answering phone calls, even from a very young age, they had helped wherever they could. All in all, I’m extremely proud to say that our business is family run and cannot wait to see how we project ourselves into the future. Being the managing director is not only incredibly fulfilling, but something people may call a ‘dream job’!
“In 2005, myself and my husband recognised the need for compassionate, personalised care within our community, following a family members terminal cancer diagnosis. Placing our clients at the centre of all decision making, and ensuring that their wants, needs and requirements are always listened to is our upmost priority. I’ve worked within the care industry for over 24 years and am so proud to have built Care Your Way to where it is today. I’m honoured that it’s been recognised for the outstanding quality care it provides and am very excited for the future of care. “Throughout my childhood, I’ve grown up surrounding the care industry. I’ve helped support my grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, and have provided relief during difficult times within the family business. I have seen, first hand, the impact that quality care can have on a person’s life, and how even the smallest things can have such a large impact. After completing my A-Level qualifications, I’ve taken reigns of the company’s marketing. “During my time at university, studying specialist website and app development, I soon found myself as the main carer for my grandmother. As her condition deteriorated, I left my degree to provide care for her, and found myself working within the company shortly after discovering my passion for care. Through using my knowledge in IT, I’ve been able to offer staff a better and more efficient way of caring through a series of different apps.
