A Dream of Providing Outstanding Care

Before joining CareYourWay, Becky worked as a Registered Manager for another home care provider. However, in December 2022, she faced an unexpected and difficult challenge—losing her job following a cancer diagnosis.

Instead of letting this setback stop her, Becky turned it into an opportunity to follow her dream of running a home care business. Just weeks after beginning treatment, she took the first steps to open her own CareYourWay franchise.

“I believe outstanding care needs to be provided by the community,” Becky shares. “And I have always wanted to run a business where quality care for clients was mirrored in how you treat your staff.CareYourWay ticked every box from the first moment. They were so welcoming and understanding that I didn’t even need to look anywhere else. Their family values and commitment to always going above and beyond matched my own.

Getting Started with CareYourWay

Becky officially began her journey in January 2023, quickly benefiting from CareYourWay’s expert training and support. Starting a new business always comes with challenges, but the franchise team was by her side every step of the way.

“The support was phenomenal from the moment we signed up,” Becky explains. “The onboarding process was seamless. There was always someone available to visit us or help over the phone.”

With this guidance, Becky and her partner, Ieuan, confidently took their first steps as franchise owners. By November 2023, they received their CQC accreditation, marking the beginning of something truly special.

Making an Impact from Day One

CareYourWay Chester officially opened in January 2024, though demand was so high that they had already secured their first client before launch.

From the start, Becky and Ieuan worked closely with local organisations like Age UK, spreading the word about their compassionate home care services. Within just two months, word of mouth helped their business grow rapidly.

Incredible Growth in Just One Year

Thanks to their focus on providing high-quality care, Becky and Ieuan have built an extraordinary team and a thriving business. In just 12 months, their achievements have been remarkable:

  • A team of 23 staff and carers
  • Over 1,800 hours of care delivered per month
  • A growing waiting list of families needing care

“Our reputation has just grown and grown, primarily through word of mouth,” Becky says. We are very careful about who we hire because we only want the most compassionate and dedicated carers. We never compromise on quality just to take on more clients.

Support Every Step of the Way

Having a strong support system is key, and CareYourWay’s head office has been there whenever Becky and her team needed help.

She recalls a time when unexpected staff shortages arose over a weekend. “We contacted them, and even though it was the weekend, Giles Sabater and the team stepped in immediately to help us find trusted carers so we could continue meeting our commitments.”

Beyond business support, CareYourWay fosters a true family spirit.

“They celebrate every milestone with us – they even visited us with cake for our first anniversary! Sometimes, we just have a chat or even a Taylor Swift singalong to lift our spirits. They are our rock.

Looking Ahead: A Bright Future

As CareYourWay Chester moves forward, Becky and Ieuan have exciting plans to grow sustainably while continuing to provide top-quality care.

With their team soon reaching 30 staff members, they aim to deliver 2,500 hours of care per month by September 2025.

Their commitment to the community is also growing, with plans to host a monthly community café and participate in local events.

“For us, it’s always been about the quality of service,” Becky explains. “That’s why we continue to grow through word of mouth and strong community relationships. We are so excited about what the future holds.
