This week, CareYourWay Chichester had the pleasure of hosting a delightful community event for older residents in Arun at the welcoming Avisford Park Hotel. The afternoon was filled with laughter, connection, and plenty of heart.
Guests enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea with delicious treats, followed by lively bingo games that brought smiles and friendly competition to the room. It was a wonderful chance for everyone to come together, share stories, and simply enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

A highlight of the day was a visit from Ben of West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, who shared fire safety tips with a lighthearted touch that made the important advice easy to take in. His engaging approach reminded everyone that safety can be both essential and approachable.
Sam from Age UK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove was also there to offer helpful guidance on the wide range of support services available to older people locally. Many guests appreciated the chance to ask questions and learn about resources designed to support their wellbeing.
Thanks also to Jackie from the Elevenses Club in Arundel, whose enthusiasm and support helped make the event flow smoothly.

A warm thank you to Emily and the team at Avisford Park Hotel for their generosity and attention to detail — their care helped make the day truly special.
One attendee shared:
