CareYourWay North Manchester and Salford recently joined a wonderful community gathering hosted by Salford Heart Care, bringing both warm company and vital health support to their weekly coffee morning.
The event, filled with light-hearted games like bingo and Play Your Cards Right, created the perfect space to connect with the community in a relaxed and joyful setting. Team members from CareYourWay joined in the fun, even participating in the gentle Chair Exercises, which many attendees took part in with laughter and enthusiasm.
Alongside the friendly conversation, CareYourWay also introduced something a little different — a practical health resource that’s changing the way home care can support wellbeing. They brought along the Whzan Blue Box Health Monitoring Kit, offering free NEWS2 health checks to anyone interested.
The NEWS2 (National Early Warning Score) system is a clinical tool used across the NHS to help detect early signs of health deterioration. It monitors vital signs such as:

This proactive approach helps build a picture of someone’s current health while also tracking any changes over time. With the right support, it can help prevent avoidable hospital visits — allowing people to stay safe, well, and independent at home for longer.
Many of the attendees welcomed the health checks, and the CareYourWay team were on hand to explain how this technology is used as part of their personalised, preventative care model. It offers families extra peace of mind, knowing that someone is keeping a close eye on their loved one’s health in a way that’s compassionate, professional and responsive.
The morning wasn’t just about health — it was about connection, kindness, and community. The CareYourWay team had some truly meaningful conversations and enjoyed the chance to be a part of such a positive, inclusive group.
“We’re so grateful to have been welcomed into such a lovely space,” said Registered Manager, Beth McCarthy. “It was fantastic to be able to offer something helpful while also simply enjoying the company and laughter. We're really looking forward to coming back soon.”
Our North Manchester and Salford team hopes to continue expanding this kind of work — bringing together practical support, joyful interaction, and community spirit wherever possible.
