CareYourWay Harrow has officially opened its doors, bringing a new family-run home care service to Harrow and the surrounding communities.

Led by partners Deepa and Kohil Patel, the new service will provide personalised home care built around a simple belief: people deserve to feel safe, valued and supported in the place they know best. Home.

The team marked the occasion with a special Grand Opening on Thursday 1st October at Victoria Hall, St John Baptist Church in Harrow, bringing together local residents, organisations, businesses, friends and family.

Representatives from the London Fire Brigade, Age UK and Parkinson’s UK joined local businesses and community members, alongside the Mayor of Harrow and other special guests, to officially welcome CareYourWay Harrow.

Victoria Hall was bustling throughout the afternoon. With balloons filling the room, refreshments being enjoyed and speeches shared, Deepa, Kohil and their team had the opportunity to introduce local people to their story, the wider CareYourWay family and their ambitions for care across Harrow.

For Deepa and Kohil, it was more than the opening of a new business. It was the beginning of something they hope will become an important part of their local community.

Two Different Careers, One Shared Purpose

Deepa brings more than 25 years of nursing experience to CareYourWay Harrow. As Director, Registered Manager and Nominated Individual, her clinical knowledge and extensive healthcare experience will sit at the heart of the service.

After more than two decades supporting people, Deepa understands that exceptional care is about much more than meeting someone’s practical needs. It is about knowing the person, understanding their routines and preferences, and ensuring they continue to feel respected, comfortable and themselves as their needs change.

Kohil joins CareYourWay Harrow as Director, bringing more than 25 years of experience within investment banking. His commercial, strategic and leadership background complements Deepa’s extensive experience in care, creating a strong partnership from which to build and grow the service.

Their professional journeys may have been very different, but their ambition is shared: to build an exceptional home care service that local families can genuinely depend upon.

A Grand Opening Centred Around Community

The afternoon included guest speakers, refreshments, fundraising and plenty of opportunities for people to meet Deepa, Kohil and the wider team. Guests heard more about CareYourWay’s story, the home care services now available locally and the values that will shape the new Harrow service.

The celebrations culminated in the official ribbon-cutting, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Yet some of the most important moments happened away from the ceremony. Throughout the afternoon, the team spoke with local families, charities, businesses and community organisations, answering questions and beginning to build relationships that they hope will continue long after the launch celebrations.

Because great home care does not exist in isolation. It becomes part of the community around it.

Supporting Parkinson’s UK

Community was also at the heart of the afternoon’s fundraising, with guests taking part in a special raffle in support of Parkinson’s UK and some fantastic prizes available to win.

It was a fitting cause to support as CareYourWay Harrow began its journey and reflected Deepa and Kohil’s wider ambition for the service. They want CareYourWay Harrow to do more than provide outstanding care. They want to build partnerships, support important causes and become a familiar, trusted presence for local families.

The Grand Opening was the first step.

Joining an Award-Winning Home Care Family

CareYourWay’s own story also began with family.

Founded in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Manuel and Sarah Sabater, CareYourWay was shaped by their personal experience of care after Sarah’s father was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

After experiencing standards of care that fell short of what they believed every family deserved, they decided to create something different. Shortly afterwards, Sarah’s mother was diagnosed with dementia and remained living at home for a further nine years, supported by her family.

Those experiences shaped a promise that remains at the heart of CareYourWay today: to care for every client as though they were our own family.

More than 20 years later, that promise has grown from one family-run home care service into an award-winning national group, while holding onto the values on which it was founded.

For Deepa and Kohil, those values closely reflect the service they want to build in Harrow: professional and dependable, but also warm, familiar and deeply personal.
