Local Care Leader, Rachel Tarrant, Makes Finalist in Prestigious Hampshire Care Awards!

Rachel Tarrant, Director and Registered Manager of CareYourWay Alton, Farnham & Farnborough, has been named a finalist in the Rising Star in Care category at the 2025 Hampshire Care Awards.

This prestigious award recognises individuals across Hampshire’s adult social care sector who show early leadership potential through passion, innovation, and dedication. Rachel is one of only three finalists selected from across the county.

A Family-Run Service Built on Compassion & Community

Rachel co-founded the Alton, Farnham & Farnborough operation of CareYourWay in early 2025 with her mum, Tracey, and dad, Richard. Their shared goal was simple: to provide care that feels like family. This principle, 'Our Family Caring For Yours,' has guided the growth of a service known for its warmth, dignity, and personal touch.

Drawing from her background in care, Rachel has shaped a supportive environment where both carers and clients feel genuinely valued. The service offers everything from companionship and personal care to specialist dementia and live-in support.

Reflecting on her shortlisting, Rachel said:

I’m absolutely thrilled to have been selected as one of the top three finalists. This recognition isn’t just about me - it reflects the heart and hard work of our whole team. Our mission has always been to treat every client like family.

In less than a year, Rachel has led the branch’s rapid growth while completing her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Management in Care. She is also finalising a Level 3 qualification in Dementia Awareness, demonstrating her commitment to both professional development and delivering outstanding care.

Making a Difference in the Community

Rachel’s nomination has been celebrated by her team, clients, and the wider community. The branch’s grand opening in Alton earlier this year raised funds for Dementia Friendly Alton, reflecting Rachel’s passion for giving back and building connections locally.

With strong values and a growing reputation, CareYourWay Alton, Farnham & Farnborough is already making a meaningful impact - and Rachel’s recognition as a Rising Star marks just the beginning of a promising journey in care.
