When Becky first met JJ, she was beginning the CareYourWay Chester journey. Their visits became filled with conversation, laughter and stories, with JJ sharing memories of the life she had lived, the people she loved and the experiences that had shaped her.

During those conversations, JJ spoke about something she had always hoped to do. She wanted to write the story of her life, preserving her memories so they could be shared with those she loved for years to come.

Knowing how much this dream meant to JJ, Becky was determined to help make it a reality. Together they began writing, carefully piecing together stories, photographs and memories to create something that truly reflected JJ's remarkable life. Becky would often call in on her days off simply to spend more time writing alongside JJ, determined to help bring her vision to life.

As JJ's health began to deteriorate, Becky knew time was becoming increasingly precious. More than anything, she wanted JJ to see her memories transformed into a beautifully printed book that could be treasured forever.

A Legacy for Future Generations

Heartbreakingly, JJ passed away just as the book was being printed.

Although she never had the opportunity to hold the finished copy herself, Becky and Ieuan knew there was only one thing to do. They completed the project exactly as they had promised, ensuring JJ's story would live on in the way she had always imagined.

The finished book was professionally printed and presented to JJ's son. Today, it is far more than a collection of pages. It is a treasured family keepsake containing memories, laughter, milestones and stories that might otherwise have been lost with time. More importantly, it preserves JJ's voice and personality, ensuring that future generations will always have the opportunity to know the remarkable woman behind those pages.
