Inspiring the Next Generation: Becky and Beth Visit Edgar Wood High School to Talk Careers in Care

Becky & Beth visited Edgar Wood High to show students how careers in care offer purpose, pride & rewarding ways to make a real difference.

Inspiring Younger Generations

On Monday, March 3rd, Becky and Beth from CareYourWay North Manchester and Salford visited Edgar Wood High School in Middleton to chat with students about careers—and more specifically, the incredible opportunities within the care sector.

Care isn’t always the first career choice for young people leaving school, but that’s exactly why this visit was so important. Becky and Beth were passionate about showing the students just how fulfilling, rewarding, and life-changing a career in care can be. From supporting people to live independently at home to making a real difference in their communities, they highlighted the many ways a role in care is more than just a job, it’s a vocation that brings purpose and pride.

Looking to the Future

The students asked brilliant questions, and it was fantastic to see them thinking about the possibility of working in care in the future. Whether it’s through apprenticeships, training, or even part-time roles while studying, Becky and Beth were keen to show that there are so many pathways into the industry.

A huge thank you to Edgar Wood High School for having our amazing North Manchester team, it was a pleasure to meet such a bright and engaged group of students.
