On Sunday 14th September, CareYourWay Chester proudly joined the Farndon Soapbox Derby, coming together with the community to raise funds for The Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
The event was filled with joy, laughter, and an incredible atmosphere as local families gathered to cheer on the teams. Among them was CareYourWay Chester with their very own soapbox creation — the eye-catching Whazan Blue Box — rolling down the track to plenty of smiles and applause.
But for the Chester team, the day was about much more than the race itself. It was about joining hands with neighbours, supporting a cause close to many hearts, and building connections with other local businesses. They enjoyed chatting with fellow entrants, lending a hand when needed, and being part of the true community spirit that events like this create.
Even when the rain arrived in the afternoon, the fun continued. The team kept their spirits high and were delighted to finish 7th in their class — a result that brought plenty of pride and plenty of laughter.
CareYourWay Chester would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported them on the day, and to the organisers for putting together such a wonderful event. With memories made and community spirit stronger than ever, the team is already looking forward to next year’s Derby — ready to return with something even bigger, bolder, and better.
